As I end my Easter vacation, I thought it was fitting to share these Kindergarten paintings of our Lord.

These beautiful paintings were done in one class period.  To save a bit of time we used tan construction paper as our base.  Mixing the skin tone would have taken another class.

Students were given a few tips, like placement and size of eyes, and how to 'double dip' their paintbrushes for the hair, but for the most part this was a free painting session.

I try hard to make sure we do a few exploratory lessons in each grade throughout the year; after all - that's what being an artist is all about!
